How much do you charge?
The short answer is that I charge more than most auctioneers, but less than some. The long answer is that after meeting with you, by phone or in person, I will give you a written bid based on the level of service that you choose. I do research into your mission, because understanding what you do helps me understand the specifics of why your donors give to you. This allows me to represent your organization with empathy and dignity. I’m proud of my professionalism and firmly believe that you will raise more money when you hire a well-prepared pro.
Our organization is small; can we still afford you?
Fridays and Saturday nights are prime time for charity auctions, so if you choose one of those nights, for your event, you will be competing with larger events when hiring a professional auctioneer. But if you can be flexible with the date of your auction, I can work with you and see if I can fit within your budget.
A good example is a charity that I have worked with for the past 14 years. They always hold their event on a Saturday at noon and so far, my Saturday evening events have also been in the Puget Sound area, so it has worked out great for both of us!
